How Deodorants Work Deodorants work by killing off the bacteria that grows in your armpit and they add a perfume. Typical deodorants use alcohol to kill off bacteria. An odour is produced by the bacteria which decomposes the sweat. Anti-perspirants work by plugging the sweat ducts. Most anti-perspirants contain aluminium salts, which dissolve in the sweat and produce a gel to cover the sweat glands. Natural deodorants use natural ingredients to prevent odour. What happened when I used my soap bar as a shampoo bar

I wanted to ditch the plastic bottles and I eyed up my soap bar. It foams, it cleans, so why not just use that on my hair. So I did, it worked up a nice lather and rubbed the bar onto my hair and it gave the satisfying scent and bubbles. I rinsed my hair off and it felt like rubber.
